Hurricane Wilma

Wilma has been upgraded to a hurricane this morning with 75mph winds and a central pressure of 977mb. Her overall structure is looking much better this morning and she is picking up speed at 7mph NW. At this increased forward speed, the GFDL model may end up being the correct version. This would bring the storm closer to the Tampa and central Florida area if this trend continues. A faster forward motion will allow the storm to gain more latitude before making the NE turn. The models should clean up some today with the Gulf Stream IV data input. Stay tuned.

No chance it goes as far north as Tampa.
