The Mayor of Key West was just on CNN reporting that the entire island is under 2-3+ of water from flooding. They have no way to rescue the 50,000+ residents who refused to leave the islands because their vehicles cannot travel to get them. He termed the scene as a complete "disaster". Residents are currentl having to wade thru the water looking for safety. Florida Bay is washing out the entire Keys.. I have to say that I have no sympathy for these people this morning, they should have evacuated. Sorry if that sounds harsh.

I know what you mean. I watched The Weather Channel all weekend and so many of the die-hards said they weren't leaving. One woman said "I've lived here over 30 years and I've never left for a hurricane".
It's just crazy!!! It's hard to have sympathy for someone like that.
