Overnight Risk, Supercells Breaking Out

This is the night to check your weather radio batteries and keep them close to the bed.  Tornadic supercells are already breaking out to the west near Martinsville, Va and individual cells are breaking out like flying eagles in front of the squall line in Central NC.  Although it was cloudy all day today, we did get a good 2 hours of sunlight after 5pm EST.   We have good capehelicity values and nice low level sheer,  so damaging wind gusts with some isolated tornados are likely southeast of Richmond while people are in bed tonight.  I'll be up, believe it.
