At 9pm tonight Dean has reached Category 4 Hurricane strength and pressure has dropped to 936mb. He truly is a perfect storm. Just look at these images. I really don't think Jamaica and the Caymans are going to escape this one. I expect Dean to be a Category 5 Monster in the morning. The models continue to play tag with the US Coastline with a shift to the south again on the latest model runs. It seems the models are now forecasting the Upper Level Low leading Dean to begin to weaken, which would keep the storm on a more southerly track. Anyone from the Texas to Louisiana coast should really be deep into preparation mode for a storm like this.
