Based on the statement released this morning from the NHC, we may have our first named Tropical System prior to June 1. Amazing. The first name on the board this season is Andrea. It will be interesting to see what the NHC does later this morning. The hurricane hunters have been flying through the storm since early this A.M. It sure looks like it has a nice balanced rotation with a clear center of circulation and moisture wrapping around all sides of the storm. The dry air surrounding the storm has slowly given way to the moisture in this system and rain is moving onto the coastline. We can only hope this storm answers the prayers of those in the southeast and puts these fires out. Let the 2007 Hurricane Season officially begin!
