Ultimate Chase

So I knew today would end up being a great day to chase storms when the SPC put out their severe storm risk statement. I had no idea I would run into the type of storm I intercepted today in Alamance County. Central North Carolina experienced a break out of severe weather as a front stalled across state and small low pressure vortices moved along the front starting at around 3am. We had plenty of sun today and dew points at 68 degrees, so the stage was set for severe weather. Their ended up being quite a bit of wind damage, hail, and a tornado in southern Wake County. I shot some amazing video that I will have up shortly. Here is my photo gallery from today's chase. You tell me what I found and took photographs of today....

Love the pics, especially the lightning shot with the grass in the forground.
