Katrina is looking impressive and developing quickly today. Models are quickly shifting from the westward track towards a more northerly turn in 2-3 days. The water temperature off the coast of Florida is near 88 degress, making the forecast for Katrina very risky. This storm could grow quickly if it keeps developing at this pace. 5-10 inches of rain are a given for southern Florida at this time. How strong the winds get is not yet known. Keep an eye on the changing models.
